The Iguana's Blog

Why we chose the name Iguana Travel?

We took our first all-inclusive trip to the lovely Dreams Tulum resort in Tulum Mexico, which is a couple of hours south of Cancun many years ago. The resort was adults only an offered a quiet secluded setting away from the Cancun party crowd which is just what we were looking for at the time. It was a quiet couples get away that allowed for nice walks on the beach, a tour of some local ruins and a cultural shopping experience that we enjoyed very much.

One of our day excursions was to the beautiful Xel Ha escape park. We spent the day snorkeling, hiking and exploring an underwater cave while enjoying the all-inclusive amenities offered at the park. We saw incredible sea life including a large stingray and while sitting on some rocks during a hike, we encountered two very large iguana's sunning nearby. Neither of us had ever encountered such a large lizard up close and personal. They make quite an impression!

Needless to say, it was a very unique experience for us. So, as we prepared to launch our travel advisory business, the iguanas came to mind. This is what we seek to provide to our clients, a unique experience that will provide memories for years to come. No matter what experience you are looking for, we can help curate the perfect getaway for you that will leave you with memories for a lifetime.
